We are really excited to be recording at Riverfish Studio today in beautiful Penzance, Cornwall!

You will be able to hear our new releases dreckly. If you love what we do, please have a look in our shop for all the latest recordings 🙂
Du Glas are back in one of the places we feel most comfortable. We are here to create some new songs at Riverfish Studio in Penzance, Cornwall.
Everywhere that you look in this place, there is something interesting to feast your eyes on!
Outside, it is a beautiful day. From the studio, you can see the sea below the blue sky (this sky is relatively cloud free for Cornwall).
Inside, we are working on three brand new tracks and discussing our plans for the year ahead gigging and writing new original music.

Joe Dworniak is sitting at a very large desk in front of an array of buttons, and complicated looking recording equipment.
From behind the desk all you can see are multiple cables.
He owns many microphones and he knows exactly what each of them is best used for.
Every time that I arrive with a new instrument, he knows exactly how to get the best recording of it. The sound that is created in this space seems like alchemy to me!

About Riverfish Studio
Joe is a British composer, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a career spanning more than four decades. We always seem to find out a new rock ‘n’ roll story each time we visit. He has seen and done so much in the music world but always professionally gets on with the project in hand. Each time we come here, we hope to hear a new story over a short break with a coffee and chocolate digestive. Within minutes of chatting, it’s always straight back to the now, and back to the work in hand.

We really value the experience that Riverfish Studio gives us. It is a big part of how our sound comes together. Joe knows how to get the best out of the equipment and he also he knows how to get the best out of us. With gentle encouragement, he asks us to try parts again when he knows that we can do better and with kind praise, he lets us know when we’ve got it right. His ear and attention to detail is “great” which is a word that he often uses! I find myself coming away from recording here saying ‘great’ a little more often that I should! Another classic sentence that we often hear is “I just want to check something”.

Riverfish keeps up with new tech, but it doesn’t really change. Because of this, the now familiar environment helps us to feel at home. In turn, we are comfortable to get on with what we are here to do!
Thank you Riverfish Studio 🙂
